“BURNISHED AIR” explores the atmosphere that exists just before light begins to fade. Built from individually painted fragments, the composition layers deep burgundy, burnished red, ochre, softened greens, and earthy neutrals into an immersive field of color that seems to hold warmth within it. The stitched construction creates a quiet sense of movement, allowing the painting to shift with changing light while revealing new relationships between color, texture, and depth over time.
