ORIGINAL PAINTINGS
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes — each piece in this collection is a one-of-one original painting created by Angela Fiammetta. No reproductions or duplicates of these works exist.
-
Each piece is built through a layered process combining pigment, stitched thread, and woven surface construction on canvas. The works evolve gradually over time through additive layers, allowing texture, color, and tension to emerge slowly across the surface.
The process moves through distinct phases — paint, tear, position, stitch, stretch. Raw painted canvas is cut into fragments, carefully arranged, stitched together, and ultimately re-stretched into its final form. The result exists somewhere between painting and textile — balancing softness, structure, and atmospheric depth.
-
Each stitched painting is thoughtfully finished with fully wrapped edges, creating a complete work of art that can be displayed framed or unframed.
Custom solid walnut floater framing is available for an additional fee. Each frame is handcrafted locally for the individual painting, features a subtle 1/4" float around the artwork, and arrives ready to hang.
Many collectors choose the walnut frame for a more traditional presentation, while others prefer the unframed work displayed on a brass gallery rail or other hanging system. If you're unsure which option is best for your space, I'm always happy to offer guidance before or after your purchase.
